Summer Volunteer Applications

Session 1: Tuesday, July 31 — Tuesday, August 7
Session 2: Saturday, August 11 — Saturday, August 18
(These dates include all-staff orientation which begins at 9am on the 31st and the 11th; it is usually best for volunteers to arrive the evening before)

Given the responsibilities involved in caring for children and the unique nature of our program, we take every precaution and screen all applicants extensively to ensure a good match. Here is an approximate timeline so that New Applicants know what to expect.

  1. Fill out application and return to camp office ASAP — each summer we receive more applications of qualified volunteers than we have positions available.
  2. Applications and references are reviewed upon receipt and interviews are set up with those who move to the next round of screening. Either way, you will be notified as to your application's status.
  3. The deadline for applications for summer 2012 is April 15th.
  4. Notifications will be made on or around May 15th.
  5. Please note, after May 1st some positions may still be available and we will accept people on a rolling basis to fill those specific slots.
  6. All accepted volunteers must have a physical and submit a Staff Health Form by June 29th.
