Camp AmeriKids is moving to a new home!!
The Kutz Camp is located just 50 miles outside of New York City in the small town of Warwick, NY.
Situated on a beautiful lake, the facility features state-of-the-art programmatic and living spaces. These include comfy cabins, a 50-foot climbing tower, a photography lab, large performance theater and studios for recording, dance and art. The site also hosts two swimming pools, tennis courts and various waterfront activities.
The site once operated as a retreat center for employees of Chock Full O’Nuts. Back then it went by the name “Utopia” and was home to a ball field built specifically for Jackie Robinson to practice on. Kutz Camp was opened in its current form in 1965.
The URJ Kutz Camp is one of twelve camps of the Union for Reform Judaism serving as the North American Leadership Center for Reform Jewish high school students. Over 200 teens come each summer from all over North America, as well as from different countries around the world to attend extensive programming run by the Kutz Camp team.
