Facility

Camp AmeriKids makes Clearpool Education Center their summer camp home for 3 weeks, utilizing the swimming, boating and facilitator staff to enhance the program. AmeriCares also takes full advantage of Clearpool's Health & Wellness Center's doctors office and private rooms.

The Clearpool Education Facility is located in Carmel, NY and was one of the first educational organizations in the country to design a curriculum consisting of multiple-day, residential retreats conducted in a rural setting and coordinated with students' classroom studies.

Clearpool was founded in 1901 as a summer camp that offered disadvantaged children a temporary escape from inner city New York. In 1990, Clearpool Education Center redefined itself to become a year-round second campus for its public school partners as well as other educational and human service organizations.

The goal of the Clearpool Education Center is to provide a learning environment that supports the academic, physical and emotional growth of participants and visitors. The goal is always to foster self-confident, independent thinkers who are motivated to collaborate with others as they explore the world around them.
